a personal exploration on what it can look like to take the offerings of the digital space in order to help forge understanding toward the importance of sustainability in fashion.

Something that has always stuck with me is a tweet that I saw a few years ago, back in high school, when social media (digital media) as we now know it really started to kick off. The tweet read: “Digital life should be an extension of our real-life; not a replacement for true experience where we project a false version of ourselves.”


The argument is essentially that our own “virtual” realities should never replace our current realities, but only serve as a complement.. An extension. Yet we’re in a moment where we virtually can’t escape the inevitability of relying on these new digital realities.

We’re also at a moment in the fashion industry where we’ve be been hit with the reality that our current way of functioning is overly consumed with consumption and quite frankly has helped to strut us down to a fatal crossroad.

If we don’t start getting creative and proactive with how we integrate various sustainable practices into our industry, ther could be no turning back.

MINE IS A DIGITALLY BASED EDITORIAL MEDIA THAT IS FOCUSED ON FORTIFYING DEEPER RELATIONSHIPS WITH GARMENTS IN ORDER TO PROMOTE A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR THE FASHION INDUSTRY.
